1. Who we are
Accident Payments operates a service that delivers exclusive, pre-qualified, signed motor vehicle accident cases to personal injury and MVA law firms in the United States. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. Name, firm name, email, phone number, role, jurisdictions of practice, case-volume goals and any details you submit through forms, scheduling tools or email.
- Case intake information. Where you partner with us, we transmit case files containing claimant-provided information (name, contact details, accident facts, injury description, insurance information and signed retainer documentation).
- Usage data. Device, browser, IP address, referring URL, pages visited, time-on-page and similar diagnostic data collected automatically.
- Cookies and similar technologies. See our cookie notice below and the consent banner shown on first visit.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations.
- To deliver signed cases that meet your firm's case-criteria and territory requirements.
- To operate, secure, monitor and improve our website and services.
- To send transactional communications (case notifications, replacements, billing) and, with your consent, occasional updates about our service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and marketing our service, your consent (for non-essential cookies and marketing), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
- Partner law firms. Case files are transmitted to the firm assigned to the territory. We do not sell case files to multiple firms.
- Service providers. Hosting, analytics, scheduling, CRM, email, payment processing and similar vendors that process information on our behalf under contract.
- Legal & safety. When required by law, subpoena or to protect rights, property or safety.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies. Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and remember your consent preference. Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate site usage. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies through the consent banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time by clearing site data in your browser.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Case files transmitted to a partner firm become subject to that firm's own retention policy.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@accidentpayments.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any message.
